Brian Stewart of One Stop Realty Named 2021 REALTOR® of the Year
Sumner REALTORS® Recognizes 2021 Production with Awards of Excellence
HENDERSONVILLE – Sumner REALTORS® has announced the recipients of the association’s annual Awards of Excellence. The list includes 172 local REALTORS® from Sumner County and surrounding areas who earned recognition for their success in 2021, determined by sales volume.
The nonprofit membership association, which represents approximately 1,000 REALTORS® and partner companies in Sumner County and Middle Tennessee, presented awards to qualifying members on March 8 during its annual Celebration of Excellence banquet. The event highlights members’ success in sales and recognizes their efforts in professional development and RPAC fundraising.
“Our members experienced a tumultuous real estate market last year, so we were thrilled to be back together in person to celebrate their hard work and dedication to their profession. The REALTORS® recognized are the top producers in the local real estate market, the best of the best in Sumner County and Middle Tennessee,” said CEO Dave Chaney.
Sumner REALTORS® recognizes award recipients based on net sales volume of at least $1 million for Silver, $2 million for Gold, $4 million for Platinum and $8 million for Diamond. This year the association was pleased to present 172 total awards, including 35 awards to first-time recipients and two Lifetime Achievement Awards to recognize longevity and consistency.
The association revealed as part of the Awards of Excellence that Brian Stewart, ABR, RENE of One Stop Realty in Hendersonville has been named REALTOR® of the Year for 2021. The REALTOR® of the Year Award is the highest honor bestowed on any member. Candidates are nominated by their peers, and a panel of judges determines the recipient based on achievements and contributions to the profession and the community, among other factors.
Stewart is the owner/broker of One Stop Realty, an independent firm located in Hendersonville where he leads 27 agents. In 2021, his third year as broker/owner, his firm recorded its best year in the company’s more than 40-year history. Stewart is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, serves on the association’s Board of Directors and is a major investor in the REALTOR Political Action Committee. He also serves as chair of the Sumner REALTORS® Community Outreach Committee, where he has led members in raising tens of thousands of dollars for local charities like Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County, the Jason Foundation, the Humane Society of Sumner County and the VFW in Hendersonville. Outside of the association, Stewart currently represents District 7 on the Sumner County Commission.

Sumner REALTORS® also announced as part of the award festivities that Brian Maggart of F&M Mortgage in Hendersonville was recognized as 2021 Partner of the Year. Preferred Partners are non-REALTOR® individuals and companies, such as home inspectors, mortgage lenders and title attorneys, who support the association through their participation and sponsorships.
“Sumner REALTORS® is a nonprofit organization, and the member dues are not nearly enough to fund all that we deliver to our members.
